My Own Montessori is a preschool/kindergarten program in the Elk River/Zimmerman/Big Lake/Otsego areas of central Minnesota.

We are a secular and diverse program (we welcome all faiths, beliefs and cultures) for children ages 3-6. Our school schedule runs from September through May.
Class times: 9:00am - 11:30am OR 12:00pm - 2:30pm
(Extended hours available to 2:00pm.)
Our experience, dedication to children, and commitment to the teachings of Dr. Maria Montessori have created an environment ideally suited to young children. Our teachers are well-educated, loving, and patient. References available upon request.
Your child will learn their letter sounds and begin to read, go as far as they can in mathematics using manipulatives, and be exposed to science and nature activities. Our environment is peaceful and full of laughter, good humor and fun. We have a peace education curriculum which emphasizes kindness and respect for all of life. Children are social in a learning environment. The child is the center of learning and instruction is one on one, or in very small groups.

One Time Registration Fee......$50.00

Drop-In Extended Care (Fun Club):.........$15.00/day if used 3 or more times per month. $20.00/day if used 1-2 times per month.

What is Class Plus?
For one fee per month your child is enrolled in class, PLUS fun club, each day of their contract. The Fun Club fee for "class plus" is less than the drop-in Fun Club fee. This program is launched to fill a need by some parents to have more consistent care that is more affordable. If you are interested, please ask Lynn for more details. Fees for "class plus" are listed below.
Also new is extended care (Fun Club) for the afternoon class. Students may now arrive at 9:30am for before-class care.
Our Extended Care program is called the Fun Club. It is meant as a convenience for parents who need extra time for other tasks. Fun Club hours are 11:30-2:00pm. (after class care) or 9:30-12:00 Noon (before class care). You may sign up the same day for extended care, it's very flexible and convenient!!
